Nadiad Today

 

Nadiad is one of the most important towns in the Gujarat State. It is located on the  National Highway No. 8 and hence, is enroute to major cities and accessible through various means of road transport. Nadiad is an important railway junction with rail connections to any part of the country. It is situated between Vadodara and Ahmedabad cities, both of which are very well-connected by air, road and railways. Reaching Nadiad is extremely easy from either of these centres.

Nadiad happens to be the town where the first Home minister of independent India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born. One of the oldest textile industries New Shorock Mills has its operations in this town.

Over the past ten years, Nadiad has made developments in almost all areas viz. transport and hospitality, telecommunications, technologies, education, health-care, etc.
